Dschungel der Verteilsysteme
Christoph Merian Stiftung, Basel, 2017

Jungle of distribution systems
Christoph Merian Stiftung, Basel, 2017

In the attic of the administration are working: The promotion of culture, the Atelier Mondial, the Basel City Book, the Archive and the Social Affairs Department. CMS adds compost to society so that it thrives and blooms. The departments function like a distribution system that supports, promotes, directs, donates, spreads, documents and archives.

The "Jungle of distribution systems" in the attic transforms objects that are associated with the CMS departments. Integrated into a vegetation, single strings run through the space, branch out, play the ball, have a fertilizing effect, lose each other in nothingness, merge again, devour, entwine, grow out of each other, parasites are tapping, promote themselves or connect various distribution points. Surprising connections and combinations of familiar and exotic objects and plant parts provoke associative chain reactions. Our goal is to fertilize the mental space above the workplaces.
